WA Police Force are seeking a pool of successful applicants to make a big difference to the community as a Forensic Investigator (Science). There is currently one vacant position with future vacancies to be filled via the pool.

This is a shift work position in accordance with the relevant industrial agreement provisions.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

You will work together with Police Officers in the Forensic Field Operations area in a team environment attending and examining major crime scenes across the State. Your high level of scientific knowledge will be blended into the workplace to enhance major investigations. In contributing to investigative outcomes you will report against your findings and provide evidence in court where matters proceed to trial.

SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITES

A number of specialist pre-requisite requirements are to be met, which are outlined in the Position Description (PAO 002).

OTHER CONDITIONS

On the job training will be provided along with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process.  Currently there is no pool expiry, however, police recruiting reserves the right to review and remove applicants from the selection pool at any time.

Any relocation costs associated with appointment to this position will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
