There are many pathways you can take to start your career with the WA Police. Whether you want to become a Cadet Trainee, Police Recruit, Custody Officer or a member of Police staff we have a pathway for you.

Cadet Traineeship
This entry pathway allows those who are aged 16-18 to now kick start their career with the WA Police by undertaking a Cadet Traineeship. - Transitional/Lateral Entry

Recruits
The recruit pathway is for a person aged 18 years or over, with Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (or New Zealand Citizenship) that has not had any previous transferable policing experience. - ECU Police Studies

If you have recent (within the last five years) front line policing experience from an international compatible policing jurisdiction then this pathway is for you. - Women & CALD traineeships
